Internship responsibilities:

  • An amazing program that will challenge and develop your technical, business, sales, leadership, and communication skills - providing insight into a sales engineering career

  • Gain and interact with a complete line of commercial, industrial, and institutional heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and building management controls

  • Be exposed to the many facets of business: Service, Equipment, Building Automation, Application, Fulfillment, and much more

  • Work directly with our industry leading Sales Engineers and customers

  • Understand the design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings

  • Understand the steps sales engineers take from start to finish on a job and be hands-on in those steps throughout the internship

Inside Sales Rep Responsibilities:

  • Preparing quotes from Mechanical Engineering drawings to send to customers

  • Compiling equipment submittals to provide to engineers and contractors

  • Assisting with equipment layouts, selections, & facility mechanical designs

  • Monitoring company CRM and keeping project’s up to date

  • Troubleshooting and working with the factories to problem solve

  • Answering the phone and assisting customer’s with requests

  • Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures.

  • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.

  • Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Outside Sales Rep Responsibilities:

  • Work with contractors and building owners to provide superior solutions

  • Assist Engineers in developing high quality solutions for building owners

  • Identify customer problems and perform analysis to identify products and services that best meet customer needs

  • Conduct lunch & learns for engineering firms to provide PDH credits and educate on product technologies

  • Join local ASHRAE chapter and participate in events and orginization

  • Possess expert knowledge of all product lines to best create customer solutions

  • Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include outdoor work and/or work in mechanical/equipment rooms

  • Responsible for all functions relating to developing new customer relationships

Territory Manager Responsibilities:

  • Function as area sales leader for business sold through the Equipment and Controls revenue stream in the applicable territory

  • Overall responsibility for the following functions: customer and area sales management, strategy development, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction measurement, price management, marketing, maximizing account penetration, market penetration, customer retention, hiring and on-boarding of new sales associates, continued assessment of skills and administering necessary training

  • Assemble high performance teams and interact with Account Managers with differing business development requirements, customer focus, experience, sales cycles, and product portfolios

  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and sales team as needed
